MUNICH Flagship Store Dublin

Dressing the space with own brand materials.

MUNICH, the Barcelona based sports footwear and accessories brand, opened its first international shop in Ireland. According to their expansion plan, the firm chose the shopping mall Kildare Village to inaugurate their first own boutique.

deardesign wanted to make travel the spirit that characterises all Munich Stores: vanguard and design in every location.

The concept was thought to evoke a warm and cosy feeling to make the customer feel like at home.

To reach this goal, simple and daily materials were used, such as fireproof Munich shoelaces. More than 67km of red laces wrap and furnish the room. Same as a roof, the red laces spread all over the entire ceiling, dropping like pendulums.

To complete the clean design of forms and materials, padded green fabric covers the counter, shelves, sofa and walls, recalling the green hills and mountains of Ireland.
